I put it through a lot of changes over the years, and tons of rebranding.  But I think I have finally found the theme that fits.  I have embraced the Raven icon and realized my place in this world after all these years.  I am planning to someday change my real last name to Ravenfeather hopefully, and it will be not only in spirit but in name as well.  After being in the Springs for almost two years, I have found nieches where I thrive and cast away the things that don't help me in my life.  Stay tuned to my blog for more on that.

 

As for the history, this site went from Geocities to here over decades of change and growth.  It had been named Dragon Designs & Ideas (c1992-2014), and the second being DragonFrost Designs (c2014-2017), and from (c2017-2018) it was Turtle Artworks after the nickname my mom gave me.  After Randy passed. it became Scarred Owl Styles. Going through the mourning of my former husband, I hardly ever updated it, and when I did, it was very little.  And it just kinda fell by the wayside as did the artwork/writing.  It was based on an old online alter ego, and I felt very alone. It morphed into Ronins Renderings for a time as well, but I finally settled on Ravenfeather Artworks after a good friend of mine suggested it.  I had found my path of faith after all these years, and I decided to do away with everything else and start fresh.   Redesign, Rebuild, Reclaim.

 

The site was not the only thing that went through changes.  I had moved to a new state, a new city, and had started my life over.  Through a vision quest, I had my faith path revealed to me, and I decided to embrace it rather than fight it like I had all these years.  I went to therapy for my grief, and between that and the support of good friends, I have gotten past that finally.  I have gone back to school to get my degree, and I have a job right now that I am fairly happy with for now.  I am standing on my own and I really like what I have become in these two years.  I am still changing, however, and the site is reflecting that change.
